This Mike Wier winery wedding around Niagara on The Lake was a true joy to witness!  The day started with cloudy skies and rainy forecasts. When I got to Vieni Estates b&b, where the girls were getting ready, it was pouring rain. Alyssa was in a great mood nevertheless, having a great time with her beautiful bridesmaids.

 

By the time we had to head out, the sky brightened up and the rain stopped! I love when this happens on a wedding day. We were able to move forward with the outdoor ceremony , as planned, although the great team at Mike Wier had a back up plan ready!

 

While her mom helped her get into the dress, Alyssa’s girlfriends were waiting in another room. When it was time for them to see the bride, they were both tears and smiles.

Just look at her beautiful niece’s expression, priceless 🙂

  Alyssa had a beautiful “first look” moment with her dad and I absolutely loved that. Moments like that, are what wedding days are made of….

“As long as he cries,” jokingly replied Alyssa to one of the comments on how stunning she looked. And he surely did.

Tyler is a professional hockey player, and he seems like a really tough kind of guy. So when Alyssa mentioned, during their engagement session, that there is this emotional side to him, it was hard to believe. But he proved it, and it was the moment every bride dreams about.

Not only Tyler was tearing up when Alyssa’s dad walked her down the aisle. Her girlfriends were wiping tears as soon as they saw Alyssa and her dad from afar.

  Tyler and Alyssa have created the cutest kid ever! Don’t you agree?  And this was totally “this just happened” moment. I was shooting the classic group photo at the time, and haven’t even noticed, how Anton got  that shot. Sometimes you just super grateful for second shooters. They are there for a reason! 

My own tearing up moment would come in the evening. After father/daughter mother/son dances, “mother/daughter” dance was announced.

A minute into the dancing, Alyssa’s siblings joined them and they danced in this beautiful little circle, laughing and singing, celebrating love and family.
