Here is what you need to do to prepare for your baby’s first photoshoot:
1. Try to get some sleep
2. Pack a pacifier + a bottle if you baby takes one.
3. Do you nails if you feel like it. Removing old polish totally counts as a manicure at this time.
The end. I am not kidding!
You might bring your diaper bag, but we have a changing station, diapers, wipes and even a bottle warmer here! So not to STRESS if you leave anything behind.
Newborn stage is so hard as it is. I am not about to dump a list of instructions to add to your to do list, mama.
Here is the thing: for a newborn session with me there is nothing you NEED to do or bring.
At home we want this day to feel just like any other. This will help your baby be more relaxed as well.
You will show up in whatever comfy clothing you want. You will start the shoot day in our makeup chair getting all done up by one of our artists while I get some solo baby’s photos. ( I do have everything needed for those photos from swaddles to hats and headbands).
When you are all done up you can feed the baby and pick something to wear from my studio wardrobe. Don’t worry, most of my dresses are postpartum friendly (loose, flowy, with elastic waist, and sleeves) We carry a variety of sizes from xxs to xxxl and beyond.
Few days after the session I will show you the photos and we’ll talk about how you want them enjoyed.
I will then create your album(s), and custom wall art for your home. All the while you stay on a couch cuddling your newborn.
The end.
